Grains: Essential and Sustainable, Looking Forward
The Simpson Centre for Agricultural and Food Innovation and Public Education is launching a summer webinar series. This is the first, and we look forward to sharing more topics shortly.
As policymakers focus on the prospect of empty grocery store shelves, they also view global populations with the same – or more critical – shortages. Canada’s economy is starting to turn its engine over again, and that includes agriculture jobs with the major export growth potential of agri-food products. Join us to look at sustainability measurement, technology, and best practices in Canada’s grain industry, and how it is poised to become one of the major drivers of Canada’s economic recovery, meeting both sustainability and economic goals.
Featured:
Craig Shand (P.Ag, CCA), Senior Agronomist and Owner, Chinook Agronomics Inc.
Matt Sawyer, Director, Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association
Tom Steve, General Manager, Alberta Wheat Commission
There is no cost to register. The webinar will be hosted via Zoom. Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues that may be interested.
