Policy and a Pint – Canada Navigating in a Nasty World
The world is a nastier place now than it was only a few years ago, and this poses particularly difficult challenges for Canada. It has been our approach to work with like-minded countries to solve global problems, but our allies are dwindling. From President Trump belittling traditional allies, to Canadians being held hostage in China, tensions in Europe over Brexit, the rise of trade protectionism and populism, the world is becoming a difficult place to advance Canada’s national interests.
Join a panel of experts as they unpack these issues and provide a nuanced view of Canada’s place in the world.
